WELCOME TO RAAGINDER'S

CO-CREATION JOURNEY

Through Anand’s Portal: A Journey Woven in Kala Cotton Denim

The Vision

For his monumental New York show, Raaginder envisioned a garment that would act as both shield and storyteller. He wanted the piece to channel the essence of his EP Portals, while weaving in Anand’s striking Portal artwork—a visual gateway into sound, spirit, and self. His request was clear: keep the silhouette minimal, let the fabric breathe, and allow the artwork and craftsmanship to carry the energy of the performance.

Drawing it into Form

The sketch began with a clean silhouette—a jacket that could move with Raaginder as he plays. Into its panels, Anand’s Portal artwork was carefully placed, becoming the heart of the design. Orange detailing framed the piece with bold strokes, a visual melody in conversation with Raaginder’s sound.

Artisans Begin Crafting

Artisans translated the vision into reality, their hands guiding anchor threads across the Kala cotton, bead by bead, stitch by stitch. They approached the fabric like a canvas, letting Anand’s artwork and Raaginder’s music guide their flow. Every detail was an act of listening—to the art, the music, and the fabric itself.

The Final Piece

The finished garment is a meeting point of worlds: Anand’s portals, Raaginder’s EP, the artisans’ craft, and the stage awaiting him in New York. It stands minimal in form yet immense in meaning—a wearable portal, ready to open as Raaginder steps into the lights and carries his sound across thresholds of time, place, and spirit.
