Ben imagined a kurta that felt grounded yet alive—something that carried the softness of nature and the symbolism of protection, clarity, and creative flow. He wanted a piece that felt like stepping into quiet strength: calm greens, gentle structure, and dreamcatcher motifs that rest near the shoulders like guardians of thought and intention. The kurta was meant to mirror his inner landscape—earth-rooted, warm, and quietly expressive.
Drawing it into Form
The artisans begin with the kurta’s silhouette, shaping muslin cotton with care to preserve its airy fall. The dreamcatcher placement is mapped lightly at the shoulders, ensuring symmetry and flow across the chest. Color palettes are chosen to echo earthy vibrance—sunset orange, leaf green, deep teal—creating an interplay of warmth and coolness.
Artisans Begin Crafting
The muslin is cut and stitched with a gentle hand, respecting its light weave. Embroiderers follow the sketched motifs, building the dreamcatchers circle by circle, thread by thread. Feathers are layered with tonal shading, giving them a sense of movement as if caught in a soft breeze. The back motif is added with quiet precision. Finally, the kurta is assembled, finished, and pressed into its final form.
