The Vision
James wanted an overcoat that was not just a garment, but a reflection of his journey—a piece that would carry the symbols of his work, his reverence for the earth, and the brilliance of the crystals his company mines. The design draws on the poetry of mountains, rivers, and crystals, evoking the landscapes that have shaped his life’s path.
Drawing it into Form
The design begins with a winding river that flows across the coat, leading the eye through embroidered mountains, guiding towards crystals that glimmer like earth-born treasures. An owl takes flight across this horizon, while at the back, a golden sun rises above the peaks, radiating energy and abundance. Together, these elements weave a story of earth’s depth and the light it reveals.
Artisans Begin Crafting
Skilled artisans set to work on the linen herringbone canvas, sketching out the motifs before bringing them alive through countless hours of hand-embroidery. The crystals were given delicate, faceted stitches to mirror their natural geometry. The sun was rendered with radiant golden threads that capture light as if it were truly shining. With each careful stitch, the coat became an ode to craftsmanship and the land.
